Hendrik Allen James Turner, precious infant son of Michaela Birch and Cleon Turner, Jr., received his angel wings into Heaven on November 19, 2018. Hendrik was born October 6, 2018, a happy and perfectly healthy baby boy, with a head full of handsome curls, blessing his mom and dad beyond measure. Although his time of this earth was short, Hendrik brought great joy and much love to his mom Michaela, his dad Cleon, and his proud grandma Rose Marie Simmons, grandma Cheryl Birch, and grandpa Troy Birch;  his great-grandma Annette Jones, great-grandma MaryLou Kubera, and great-grandma Joyce Birch, as well as 4 uncles, 3 aunts, and many cousins.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 225 S. Third St., River Falls, WI. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 Noon Saturday with Pastor Adam Westrich officiating.

Hendrik's Tribute Wall

Tributes (3):

  • My heart goes out with deepest sympathy to Hendrick’s family. God personally knows your deep heartache and the many tears you shed and he wants to sustain you during this difficult time. In the Bible at 2 Corinthians 4:7 it says that God will give you, “… power beyond what is normal,” to go from one day to the next. When Jesus was on earth he saw and felt the deep grief that his friends Martha and Mary experienced at the death of their brother, Lazarus. The Bible says, “Jesus cried,” (John 11:35). He was so moved that he resurrected Lazarus (John 11:41-44). Everyone was so joyful at having Lazarus alive and back with them again. Jesus also resurrected children including a young girl (Luke 8:49-56). The resurrection examples in the Bible are to assure you that he will resurrect your precious little Hendrik. He wants to give this hope to help anchor you. Just like an anchor stabilizes a ship, it is hope that will help stabilize you and help to keep you from drowning in overwhelming sadness so you can go from one day to the next. God promises to do away with death, pain, outcries and tears (Revelation 21:4). Please know he cares about you and wants to help by undoing what has happened to your son. This will happen soon and then all your tears of pain will be replaced with tears of joy as you hold Hendrik again in your arms.
