Kenneth Archie Brookshaw, age 80 of Ellsworth, WI, passed away at his home on August 4, 2018. Kenneth was born July 19, 1938 in Eau Galle, WI to parents, Archie and Hazel (Burke) Brookshaw. Kenneth graduated from Elmwood High School, the Class of 1956. After high school, Kenneth began farming. He was united in marriage to Carmen Ginsbach and to this union, Jeff, Brenda, Dan, and Mary were born. Later, they were divorced, and Ken remarried Marian Christiansen. To this union a daughter, Janel was born. Ken’s life was further blessed with step-daughters, Julie and Jody. Ken and Marian shared 48 years of marriage together. Ken farmed for many years, and also worked as a truck driver for Holst Excavating for 17 years, retiring in 2003.

Ken treasured his time at his cabins in Webster and Siren. While at the cabin, he enjoyed doing yard work, cutting wood, fishing, pontooning, campfires, and socializing with the towns people.

Ken will remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Marian; children, Jeff (Judy) Brookshaw of River Falls, WI, Brenda (Jeff) Weber of Lino Lakes, MN, Dan (Lisa) Brookshaw of Ellsworth, WI, Janel (Larry) Hanson of Beldenville, WI; step-daughters, Julie (John) Foss of Clear Lake, WI, and Jody (Jeff) Gilbertson of Beldenville, WI; grandchildren: Jackie, Jasen, and Jacob Brookshaw, Lindsey Martien, Kayla Weber, Erin Huppert, Angie Christoffer, Justin and Jessica Hanson, John and Jennifer Foss, and Joleen and Jenna Gilbertson; 8 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marvel (Neil) Olson of Menomonie, WI.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Brookshaw; parents, Archie and Hazel Brookshaw; and 3 sisters, Wanda Brookshaw, Donna Garfield, and Beverly Melser.

A Celebration of Kenneth’s Life will take place from 1:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday, August 11, 2018 at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth. Private interment will take place at Rock Elm Cemetery.
