Charlotte “Sharky” Ann Kearns, age 75 of Bay City, WI, passed away unexpectedly at her home December 3, 2020.  Charlotte was born July 18, 1945 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Harry and Dorothy (Mann) Lynner.  She graduated from Ellsworth High School, with the Class of 1963.  Charlotte was united in marriage to William Kearns.  Their lives were blessed with three children, Terry, Cheryl and Kari.  Charlotte worked at Red Wing Shoe for many years, until her retirement in 2009.

Sharky’s heart was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends.  She loved decorating for the holidays and creating cherished memories with her family.  Sharky had a special place in her heart for animals, big and small.  She delighted in flower gardening, taking long drives, flower shopping and going out for dinner with her family and friends.

Sharky will remain in her hearts of her children, Terry (Bobee) Kearns, Sherry (Paul) Brenner and Kari Kearns; grandchildren, Nathan, Rachael and Cole Brenner; former husband, William “Bill” Kearns; sister, Marilyn (Buff) Kurrelmeyer; nieces and nephews, Ricky (Debbie) Williams, Jodi (Gary) Horky, Troy (Laurie) Williams and Rhonda Flanigan; along with many dear friends and family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Dorothy Lynner; Godson, Blake Flanigan; niece, Brenda Gove; and nephews-in-law, Kelly Gove and Jim Flanigan.

A Visitation (Masks required, social distancing, and occupancy limitations will apply) will take place 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N Grant St., Ellsworth.  Private family services will be held.  Private interment will take place at Hartland Methodist Cemetery in Hartland Township, WI.  Condolences may be sent to the Family of Charlotte Kearns, O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home, 130 N Grant St., Ellsworth, WI 54011.

    I sure will miss talking to Sharky on the phone. We would call each other once a month or some times more if we couldn’t figure something out. I will miss those calls and talking to her. You will always have a place in my heart. Thoughts and prayers.
