Donald then served on the board for the River Falls Senior Center for several years. Donald took great pride in caring for his lawn and garden, enjoyed going on many bus and car trips, as well as playing cards, and being with his grandchildren, family, and friends.

  • Doris & family – I’m so sorry for your loss. Don and Dad were so much alike. And even from writing Dads obituary I learned even more how close they were. What a hard time, Don was a good man. It’s bittersweet, but comforting to think that they are together again. Prayers to the family.

  • Living next to Don and Doris was a joy! Danny was always a part of their lives and was always smiling. One year I started a garden, thinking it would be good to involve our kids. As the crop came up next to the lush garden that Don and Doris were growing, it was obvious there was no comparison. They were always ready to help me with advice and counsel on gardening, soil amendments and weed control. My mother, Marguerite Hoffman, was teaching at Westside Elementary while Don was there. He was always ready to help her with any project. What a grand person Don was. Kindness personified.
