In 1970, Harold began working for DEM as a truck driver.

An outdoorsman, Harold enjoyed being in the woods hunting and on the lake fishing.  Harold and Doris were fortunate to share many wonderful travels together, visiting all 50 states and several foreign countries.  He especially delighted in travel destinations that brought him to the mountains.

A man of strong faith and values, Harold set a beautiful example to his children always finding time to read God’s word.   He was a longtime, faithful and devoted member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth.

Harold was an active participant in the Ellsworth community as a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. He also served on the Ellsworth Village Board and was a longtime Volunteer Firefighter with the Ellsworth Fire Department.
