Irene is survived by her four sons, ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, her sister Eleanor Peterson, and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roland, grandson Aaron, sisters Hildur Peterson and Ruth McKinley, brothers Paul and Bernard, brothers-in-law Victor Peterson, George Peterson, and Don McKinley, and sister-in-law Raydell Nelson.

A private family memorial service was held on July 9, 2020 at the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home followed by interment at Bethel Covenant Church Cemetery.

  • Sending sincere condolences to the family. When Richard and I were “newbies” in the Moeville community so many years ago Irene and Rolland were so welcoming to us. Irene was a lovely person, this world could use more like her.
