Logan Edward Tjader, age 16 of River Falls, passed away suddenly on July 1, 2020 at his home.  Logan was one of triplet boys born on November 6, 2003 to Paul and Valerie (Sprague) Tjader.  Logan attended Greenwood Elementary School, Meyer Middle School, and was going into his junior year at River Falls High School.

Logan was happiest when surrounded by his brothers, family, and the outdoors.  He enjoyed ice fishing, deer hunting, 4-wheeling, and nature hikes.  Like most teenagers, he loved his time on computer, playing video games, and being with his friends.  Logan had a special place in his heart for animals, and especially adored his cat, Arty.  Logan was a member of the River Falls Wildcat Trap Shooting Club.  He was proud of his time working at McDonalds in River Falls for the past year.  He will be remembered for his sweet smile, gentle personality, and generosity.

Logan will remain in the hearts of his parents, Valerie and Paul Tjader; his triplet brothers, Aidan and Ethan; older brother, Evan; grandparents, Edward and Kathy Sprague of River Falls; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elaine and William Tjader; and his uncles, Vince Sprague, Pete Tjader, and Mike Tjader.

Private family services will take place.  A Visitation (respecting social distancing and encouraging the use of masks) will take place 4:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 225 S. 3rd St., River Falls.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Logan’s family.

Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home of River Falls (715) 425-5644.

  • Dear Tjader Family,
Logan was only three years old when I was blessed to be his teacher.
I have such fond memories of him in preschool. He was a very kind child who enjoyed learning. His favorite things were nature walks and interacting with his friends. I remember how devoted you were to the boys and their education, such a wonderful family. May you find peace in cherishing the memories of Logan.
