  • What a gift to have known Ray. We met through church and he was often my supportive companion when I worked at a campus ministry in River Falls and Ray served on the board. In his earlier years, Ray had worked as a campus minister in St. Cloud: his perspective helped me to find my way in my campus ministry work. Ray was a careful listener.

How fine it was, encountering Ray and his companion Barb walking along White Pathway together. And sitting in Veteran’s Park for live music in the summer. And being together for worship on Sundays.

Ray led many adult forum discussions / studies at his church. He was a scholar and he brought his insight to the discussions. He was thoughtful, intelligent, and engaging.

Ray’s way was warm and welcoming. I’m inspired by his warmth, and yes, by his punny word play sense of humor.

    Thank you, Ray,
